I believe every woman carries within her the capacity to flourish.
You were created for more than simply getting through life.
Sometimes life buries that truth beneath pain, shame, fear, and survival. It becomes easy to lose sight of who you are beneath the weight of what you've experienced.
Your emotions are not your enemies—they are messengers, here to help you understand yourself with greater compassion.
Healing is not about becoming someone different. It's about becoming more fully the woman you were already created to be.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, weighed down by shame, disconnected from yourself, or simply longing for something more, my hope is that therapy becomes a soft landing—where you feel deeply seen, safely known, and gently invited toward lasting change.

The greatest gift this profession has given me is not simply the opportunity to help others. It has also been the opportunity to continue growing myself. I believe the more I learn, the more I heal, and the more fully I live, the greater my capacity becomes to walk alongside others with authenticity, compassion, and hope.
My journey from being an educator to a therapist has transformed far more than my professional life—it has transformed me personally. Although my role has changed, my heart remains the same. I still find great joy in helping people discover strengths they didn't know they possessed, understand themselves more deeply, and leave believing they are capable of far more than they imagined.
It is a privilege and an honor to be invited into someone's story. My hope is that every person who walks through my door leaves not only with a greater understanding of themselves, but with the confidence to embrace life more fully—to navigate emotions with courage, experience deeper connection, and discover the person they were created to be.
Today, I support women through Somatic Experiencing®, AEDP, and attachment-focused therapy. Together, we'll explore your experiences, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and create space for lasting healing. —Nicole
MY BELIEF
You deserve to flourish.
Many people think flourishing means always feeling happy.
Flourishing isn't about living a life without hardship.
It isn't avoiding difficult emotions.
It isn't pretending everything is okay.
And it isn't becoming someone different.
To flourish is to become deeply rooted.
So deeply rooted that your circumstances no longer determine your identity, your worth, or your hope.
“Being deeply rooted is becoming securely connected to your authentic self—the part of you that remains beneath fear, shame, old wounds, and protective patterns. As healing unfolds, you begin to trust your inner experience, recognize your strengths, and respond from your values rather than from survival. You become less driven by what happened to you and more guided by who you are.”
—Diana Fosha, PhD, founder of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

How long does it take to see results?
Every person is different. Some people notice feeling calmer or more grounded after just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term work. Healing is not about rushing—it is about creating lasting changes that your nervous system can integrate over time.Is it okay if I become emotional during a session?
Absolutely. Emotions are a natural part of healing. We'll move at a pace that feels manageable, helping you stay connected and supported rather than overwhelmed. The goal isn't simply to experience emotions—it's to help your nervous system process them safely. Will I learn skills I can use outside of therapy?
Yes. Many clients leave sessions with practical tools to help regulate their nervous system in everyday life. As you become more aware of your body's signals, you'll learn ways to respond with greater calm, flexibility, and confidence during stressful situations. -
What is Somatic Experiencing?
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based approach to healing stress and trauma. It helps you notice how your nervous system responds to life's experiences so your body can gradually release patterns of overwhelm, tension, or survival responses that may have become "stuck." Rather than focusing only on talking about difficult experiences, SE also pays attention to what is happening in your body in the present moment.
What happens during a Somatic Experiencing session?
A session is primarily conversation, with gentle invitations to notice sensations in your body, emotions, breathing, posture, or impulses to move. You remain fully clothed and in control throughout the session. We may pause to notice what feels calming, grounding, or activating, helping your nervous system build resilience over time.
How is Somatic Experiencing different from traditional talk therapy?
Traditional talk therapy often focuses on understanding thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Somatic Experiencing includes those conversations while also paying attention to what your nervous system is communicating through your body. By working with both the mind and body, many people find they experience deeper regulation and lasting change.
How long does it take to see results?
Every person is different. Some people notice feeling calmer or more grounded after just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term work. Healing is not about rushing—it is about creating lasting changes that your nervous system can integrate over time. Will Somatic Experiencing make me relive painful memories?
No. One of the goals of SE is to prevent people from becoming overwhelmed. We work slowly and intentionally, helping your nervous system stay within a manageable range so healing can happen without flooding you emotionally. Many people seek SE because of chronic stress, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves. Our nervous systems are shaped by many life experiences—not only major traumatic events. Is Somatic Experiencing evidence-based?
Yes. Somatic Experiencing has been studied for trauma, PTSD, stress-related symptoms, and nervous system regulation. Research continues to grow, and many clinicians integrate SE with other evidence-based approaches as part of comprehensive care.Is Somatic Experiencing only for trauma?
Not at all. While SE was developed to treat trauma, it can also help with:Anxiety
Chronic stress
Burnout
Panic attacks
Emotional overwhelm
Difficulty regulating emotions
Life transitions
Feeling "stuck"
Building resilience and self-awareness

What is AEDP?
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is a compassionate, evidence-based approach that helps people move beyond feeling stuck and reconnect with their authentic selves. Rather than seeing people as broken, AEDP recognizes our natural capacity to heal and grow.
How is AEDP different from regular talk therapy?
Traditional talk therapy often focuses on understanding thoughts and behaviors. AEDP also values insight, but it places a strong emphasis on experiencing emotions in the present moment and using the therapeutic relationship as a source of healing and growth. How long does AEDP take?
It varies from person to person. Some people notice meaningful changes within a few months, while others choose to work together longer. The pace depends on your goals, your experiences, and what feels right for you. Will I have to talk about my childhood?
Sometimes, if it's relevant. We may explore past experiences to understand how they affect you today, but the focus is usually on how those experiences are showing up in your life right now. You don't have to tell your whole life story for therapy to be effective.
Do I have to cry?
Not at all. Some people cry, some don't. There is no "right" way to experience emotions. The goal isn't to make you cry—it's to help you notice and understand whatever you're genuinely feeling.
What if I don't know what I'm feeling?
That's very common. Many people come to therapy disconnected from their emotions, especially if they've spent years focusing on taking care of others or pushing feelings aside. Part of our work together is learning how to recognize and name emotions at a pace that feels safe.
What if I don't want to talk about something?
You always have a choice. Therapy works best when you feel safe. If something feels too difficult to discuss, we can slow down, explore what's making it feel difficult, or come back to it later when you're ready. How will I know if therapy is working?
People often notice changes such as:
Feeling less overwhelmed by emotions.
Recovering more quickly from stress.
Feeling more connected to themselves and others.
Becoming less self-critical.
Feeling more confident in making decisions.
Experiencing greater calm, clarity, and authenticity.

Appointments and Cancellations
Your appointment or reserved space is held exclusively for you. Because this time has been thoughtfully reserved and cannot typically be offered to another client or participant on short notice, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged the full session or group fee.
I understand that unexpected illness and emergencies occasionally arise. Whenever appropriate, I am happy to offer virtual sessions for individual therapy if you are unable to attend in person due to illness. This allows us to continue our work together while also helping protect the health of other clients and families.
If a sibling or another household member is ill, but the scheduled client is well, a virtual session remains available as an alternative to an in-person appointment.
Growth Groups: Growth groups are intentionally designed to foster learning, connection, and meaningful growth within a consistent community. Your place in the group is reserved specifically for you, and each session is thoughtfully prepared in advance.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled group session, your place will remain reserved, and the session fee will still apply. While individual make-up sessions are not available, I look forward to welcoming you back at the next scheduled group meeting.
